In Love Live School Idol Festival, there are lots of cards that you can scout and collect. Currently, there are over 1,000 cards available in the game. There are different types and rarities of cards available from many different card sets.
Club Members
Club members are the cards that can be added to your teams. These cards come in 5 different rarities: N, R, SR, SSR, and UR, with N cards being the weakest and UR cards being the strongest.
N Cards
N cards are the weakest cards in the game. The N stands for "normal". These cards can be obtained by doing regular scouting, and be given as rewards after completing live shows. μ's and Aqours members don't appear on N cards. Instead there's another group girls that show up only on N cards. These members are exclusive to N cards in SIF, They do not appear in any of the Love Live TV series.
R Cards
R cards are the next rarity up. The R stands for "rare". These cards can be obtained from regular scouting, honor student scouting, or occasionally as rewards at the end of live shows. μ's and Aqours members start making their appearances on this card rarity.
SR Cards
SR cards are the next rarity up. The SR stands for "super rare". These cards can be obtained from honor student scouting, and earning them in events.
SSR Cards
SSR Cards are the next rarity up. The SSR stands for "super super rare". These cards can only be obtained by doing honor student scouting. SSR cards and UR cards are the only types of cards to have completely illustrated backgrounds.
UR Cards
UR cards are the highest rarity of card in this game. The UR stands for "ultra rare". These cards are the rarest and most powerful cards available. These cards are very sought after by players of the game. These cards can only be obtained by doing honor student scouting. Similar to SSR cards, these cards also have illustrated backgrounds.
Limited UR Cards
Limited UR cards are a special varient of UR cards that only available in special scouting boxes. These scouting boxes have a total of 200. There are 2 UR cards, 8 SSR cards, 30 SSR cards, and 160 R cards. As you continue scouting in this scouting box, the amount of cards in the box goes down until all 200 cards have been scouted or you decide to reset the box after getting the cards you want. You can reset the box by pressing a special button to do so. That means, if you're willing to spend, at most, the amount of gems necessary to scout all 200 cards in the box, you can guarantee yourself to get the 2 URs in the box. As the amount of cards left in the box decreases, the chance of earning a UR increases since there's less cards of other rarities to pull.
There are two types of these special scouting boxes. One of them has two random limited UR cards , and the rest of the lower rarity cards. The other one has one limited UR card, and another regular UR card of your choosing, along with the rest of the lower rarity cards. It is worth noting though, that unlike all other forms of honor student scouting, it is possible to scout 11 R cards in one 11 card scout in this scouting box.
Limited UR cards are preidolized meaning that they don't need a second copy of the card or stickers to be idolized with.

Card Sets
Cards are typically released in sets. All the cards in one set usually follow one central theme around them. Older μ's card sets had 2 UR cards and 7 SR cards in the set. After the release of the 4.0 update and the introduction of the SSR card rarity, newer μ's card sets and all Aqours card sets have 2 UR cards, 2 SSR cards, and 5 SR cards. To the right is an example of one card set. This card set is often called the μ's constellation set. In it, you'll see 2 UR cards and 7 SR cards. Each card features one member of μ's. Aqours card sets will feature one member of Aqours on each card.

Support Cards
Support cards are cards that cannot be added to your team, but can be used to make your cards stronger and increasing their stats by using them in practice (you can learn about practice on the card management page). Certain support cards will give out card level experience while others will give cards skill experience. These cards also do follow the same rarity system as club members with rarer cards giving more level/skill experience. Some of these support cards are shown in the slideshow to the right.

What are some of the most powerful cards in the game?
This is kinda a complicated question to answer. There are many factors that can make a certain card more powerful than others, such as the card's skill, what school idol skills it has (more details on those in the card management page), and many more. YouTuber, Umida does do a pretty good job explaining what some of the more powerful cards are in the video below.
Is there anywhere I can look at all the cards in the game?
Yes there is. There is a website named School Idol Tomodachi that shows off every single card available in the game. The button below will take you right there.
Now what do I use these cards for?
Good question! Check out the card management page to learn more about what to do with the cards you have earned.
