Introduction
On this page, you'll learn some of the basics of the game, such as who the characters are and what your home screen is like.
The Characters
Love Live School Idol Festival mainly consists of 18 different girls from two different school idol groups, μ's (pronounced "muse") and Aqours (pronounced "aqua"). In the TV series each of these groups are from (Love Live: School Idol Project for μ's and Love Live: Sunshine for Aqours) these school idol group write songs and then perform their music in front of their fans. Each of these school idol groups contain 9 members each. μ's consists of Honoka, Kotori, Umi, Maki, Hanayo, Rin, Nico, Nozomi, and Eli. Aqours, on the other hand, consists of Chika, Riko, You (pronounced like "yo"), Hanamaru, Ruby, Yoshiko, Kanan, Mari, and Dia.
The Home Screen
The image above is the home screen. You may be thinking "Whoa, this sure looks complicated!". Don't worry though, once you get used to the menus, you'll be browsing them with ease. I put numbers on each menu item so you can look at a number below and see what each menu item is.
1. Badge: A little badge that'll be displayed next to your username on the event leaderboards and on the top left corner of your home screen. This can be changed to other badges that you have unlocked. You'll start out with only a few, but you can unlock more as you continue playing more.
2. Player Rank: This is the rank you are at. Filling up the EXP bar (#6) will move you up one rank.
3. Gold Amount: This shows the amount of Gold (often shortened to G) you currently have. You can get gold by comleting live shows.
4. Love Gem Amount: This shows the amount of Love Gems you have. Love Gems can be earned in various ways in game, or can be bought with real money in the shop.
5. Restore LP Button: Pressing this button will fill up your LP bar (#7) for 1 Love Gem.
6. EXP Bar: Shows how much more EXP is needed to rank up. You can earn EXP from completing live shows.
7. LP Bar: This shows how much LP you currently have. You need LP to start live shows. The amount of LP you need to start the song varies depending on the difficulty of the live show. You regain LP at a rate of 1 LP every 6 minutes. That is equivalent to 10 LP in one hour.
8. Home Screen Girl: This is the girl set to be displayed on your home screen to greet you. The home screen girl can be set to any card you own.
9. Present Box: Holds various rewards that you earn in-game.
10. Message Center: Shows friend activity and messages you have sent and received from other players.
11. Friends Center: Allows you to manage incoming friend requests and to send other players friend requests.
12. Goals: Displays certain challenges to complete in order to receive rewards.
13. What's New Section: Displays new updates about the game including new cards being added and new events.
14. Home Screen Girl Dialogue: Your home screen girl will say things to you and what she says is put here. Different cards will have different phrases they say.
15. Featured Tab: This shows featured items including events in progress, the latest cards coming out, the Transfer Student Festival series of comics, and any limited scouting.
16. Navigation Bar: This leads you to certain sections of the game. Each button lists where they will take you to.

Now that you've introduced to the game a bit, you can use the menu bar at the top of the screen to navigate to other parts of the website that explain other aspects of the game.
